The BAM! Blog

This blog serves as merely a means for my family and friends to check up on me and see what I'm up to. If you have something better to do than look at this meaningless mess of pictures and letters (which hopefully come together to make real words), then please follow the instructions contained in the address for this page. If not, then have fun reading about my misadventures, and I truly hope that something more exciting and meaningful happens to you very soon.

I am sooooo boooored....

I'm in C++ right now, and I'm pretty freakin' bored. I wish I could program an escape route out of here. Unfortunately, I'm still writing programs that ask me what my name is. I guess it'll be a while before I get to cooler things.
I suppose I should be careful with what I say here. I mean, I am Dr. Massey's friend on facebook, so I really hope he isn't keeping an eye on me. Oh, well. Negative consequences have never stopped me before.
This next week is going to suck for me and my friends. Thursday greets us with a Calculus test (that's for Brittany), a take home test (for everyone in Differential), and a slew of proofs (for Abstract Algebra). I'm also supposed to have something that resembles a speech for Forensics, and I'm nowhere close to having one. Tuesday brings a Differential test (no, not the take-home. ANOTHER test), and on next Thursday I have to turn in even more proofs for Abstract, plus a program for C++. Of course, when it's all done, we get to go to Atlanta, so I guess it's worth it.
It really doesn't help that Sufjan Stevens is performing in Atlanta on Wednesday (AAAHHH! I want to go so much!), but I'll try to make up for it by listening to his music in my room. That's just as good, right? Right? I know it sucks, but I know my life can't be all fun.... just mostly.

A Whole New Year!

Well, this year pretty much beats the crap out of the last one. I've had a BLAST with all of my friends over the past three weeks, and I can tell that the rest of the semester is going to be even better. So far I've seen a friend get hitched (Jennifer Jones became Mrs. Weaver), been to the Isle of Heron, visited a 23-mile yard sale, and hiked to the second-highest point east of the Mississippi River (otherwise known as Clingman's Dome). Yes sir, this year is awesome.
People have also been coming over on Monday nights to cook dinner, and while we may not ever get to eat before nine o'clock, it's pretty cool to know we're all willing to starve for a few hours just to eat together. And hopefully I'll be able to cook something that doesn't suck by the end of the semester.
Hm... what else....
Oh, well, I'm sure I'll think of something else to write about soon. In the meantime, have a splendid new year at school!
